Beverly Folkes

​Beverly Folkes is a Chumash and Tataviam elder and a founding member of the Chumash Indian Museum. Most important to her is sharing her stories and the history of her ancestors with the next generation. Beverly is active in the Native California tribal community through her advocacy work and Native monitoring business. She is also a member of the California Native American Heritage Commission and sits on the advisory board for the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, among other organizations.
