Join us for an intimate outdoor reading with award-winning Indigenous poet Solange Aguilar, featuring selections from their debut collection Red Like Earth. Red Like Earth centers on the color red and the emotions it holds: love, anger, and Indigenous identity. Weaving together narratives of identity, Indigenous memories, and land politics, Aguilar's poems paint powerful statements on the complexity of love, culture, and autonomy.

Among native plants and towering oak trees, experience Aguilar's raw and dynamic storytelling, followed by a Q&A to learn more about their creative process. The afternoon will also include a book signing session. Copies of Red Like Earth ($20) will be available for purchase after the reading.
