Oakbrook Chumash Indian Museum Temporarily Closes on Weekends

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the temporary closure of the Oakbrook Chumash Indian Museum, effective February 28, 2026. Due to a lack of funding, the museum will be closed to the public on weekends until further notice. The museum will remain open only for school tours, private group tours, and special events and programming.

This has been a terribly difficult decision for us. We thank our community for their continued support and will share updates as soon as we can. In the meantime, please consider contributing to the museum by making a donation or becoming a member. Contributions of any amount from individuals like you help keep our lights on, support our staff, preserve our collections and exhibits, and sustain our educational programming and community events.
