Cancellation Policy
Accepted payment methods are: check, debit or credit card, and cash. A deposit isn't required to reserve a tour date, but payment is due in full on the day of your tour. Paying in advance is thus highly recommended. Failure to pay may result in your school not being booked for tours in the future. If you need to reschedule or cancel your tour, please email education@chumashmuseum.org. Schools that cancel with less than three weeks notice (with exceptions for unexpected weather and other emergencies) or that do not show up on the day of their tour will be billed a $200 fee. All children (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their visit. One chaperone is required for every 10 students. Adult chaperones include teachers. For example, a class of 30 students would require three chaperones: one teacher and two parent volunteers. Aides assigned to students with disabilities (IEPs) are always welcome and are not included in the chaperone count. Please inform us of any accessibility accommodations needed when scheduling your tour.
